For more than 100 years, the National PTA has been at the forefront of issues affecting children, parents, and public schools. The PTA recognized the need for establishing Kindergarten in public schools, lobbied for child-labor laws and a juvenile justice system, improved school nutrition through a federally funded hot-lunch program, encouraged school bus safety, and helped create a TV rating system that defines not just the age, but the content of programs. It is through the association of local, state and National PTA that all children benefit.

      On the local level, the Bartlett Elementary PTA has enriched our children's school experience through many programs, which would not be possible without the help of individual members.  Thanks to everyone's hard work, we are able to supply new materials and equipment, provide books through the RIF program, beautify the school grounds, conduct community involvement activities, and so much more.  But everything that we do depends on parental involvement. 

      Your membership in the PTA means:  Making a difference in the lives of all children and youth;  Supporting appropriate legislation to improve laws, policies, and conditions on behalf of children;  Obtaining valuable information, news, and services to keep you abreast of key issues affecting children.

      Membership is open to anyone who is concerned with the education, health, and welfare of our children.
