TCAP Time Again TCAP testing is April 19-21. How can you help your child prepare for
this very important assessment?
On our school’s website, we have activities which support our instructional
program. If you have internet access
at home, or if you visit the public library, you can reach the educational
sites by visiting Bartlett’s home page. www.bartlettes.scs.k12.tn.us Once on the site, simply click on the
“Useful Links” tab. By clicking on the
Assessment
Assistance TCAP link, you will be able to access numerous sites that offer
reinforcement and practice for all skill areas. Working together, home and school, will help our children
understand the importance of a good education. Bartlett Elementary thanks you for your
continued effort! If you are willing to Proctor a testing
session, please call the school and speak to Mrs. Marshall or Mr. Lunsford. Faculty
Members Earn Honors The Office of the Secretary of
Defense has honored Principal Page Watson with the “My Boss Is A Patriot”
Certificate of Appreciation. This award recognizes deserving employers who’s
support and good will are important to retaining highly skilled and qualified
members of the Guard and Reserve. Page Watson and Bartlett Elementary were
honored by Sergeant Bruce Wherry who is currently serving in Iraq. Mrs. Gallagher, one of
our 3rd grade teachers, has been honored with a nomination for “Who’s Who
Among America’s Teachers”! |
From the Principal… We are off and rolling through our last nine
weeks of school. TCAP is coming this
month. It is extremely important that
each child be to school on time, every day.
As parents, we need to keep our children focused. With dreams of sleeping late and playing
all day during the summer, it will be easy for them to lose their
concentration on school work.
This year has been fantastic!
Our BES family has proven on a national level that our school is one
of the best in the country. Congratulations
to every one of our students, parents and faculty on being awarded the
National PTA’s Certification of Excellence Award. Enjoy the summer break!
Sincerely, Page Watson From the PTA President… Happy Spring Panther Family! Can you believe that we only have 7 more
weeks of school? It’s been a great
year. Even though we’ve suffered some
major budget cut-backs, our BES family members have come through in the
pinch. We have lobbied, written letters,
sent emails, made calls, raised money, and donated many things. Our students’ talents have shone this
year, from music and art to science and literature. We wish our 5th graders luck as they
prepare to enter a new world. To our
K-4 graders, have a great summer and we’ll see you next year! Thank you for allowing me to serve as
your PTA President this year. I’ve
enjoyed getting to know so many of you.
Thank You! Cindy Ballard |
