Coaches’
Corner This last nine weeks will be
filled with tons of fun! Kids will be
working on volleyball, kickball, scooter hockey, bocce ball, and relays. The coaches are working on the ECO
Challenge, a class vs. class competition full of different activities. The kids are getting revved up for
that one! Field Days are coming up in May. When your child is not scheduled to
participate in Field Day and you’d like to help with the festivities, send a
note with your name and phone number to the coaches. Tootsie Rolls are a great incentive and
many students earn them throughout the day.
The coaches are in dire need of the yummy treats! With summer soon approaching, it’s time
to think of how you’re going to keep your little ones active. Limit their TV, video game and computer
time. Send them outside to play or go
for a bike ride with them. Make
physical activity a family event. Have
fun and be creative! BES Voices Ring Congratulations to the
following students for participating in the West Tennessee Choral Festival on

TCAP Tips Below are some tips on how you
can support your child during the often stressful TCAP days: On Test Days Reinforce
bedtime. Make sure
your child eats breakfast. A hungry
child cannot do his or her best. Provide a
calm morning. Please, no fighting! See that
your child arrives at school on time and is relaxed. Encourage
your child to do the best work possible. Do not send
your child to school if illness is apparent. Do not
remove your child from school on test days for appointments. After Testing Examine all test
reports sent home. Determine areas of
strengths and weaknesses. Praise your
child’s testing strengths and make a plan to address identified weaknesses. See you
child’s principal, counselor or teacher if additional info is required. Coming Up in May Check the May calendar for
times and dates for all grades’ end-of-year assemblies. Field Days too!! |
